SEPTEMBER 11TH,2010 (3 PM) RALLY TO STOP THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE!!!

Remember June 6th?! Were you there amongst the thousands??

Protest mosque

When Stop The Islamization of America and The Freedom Defense Initiative organized a protest at Ground Zero to Stop the 911 Mega Mosque.

All those photos and images that FOX, CNN and the now dying big media have been currently airing (without identification of course) was the SIOA rally!! El Marco had extraordinary coverage here and here.   No Mosques at Ground Zero has the video coverage here.

Thousands of  Americans came out to say “No Mosque at Ground Zero” and now YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN!!

JOIN US on  SEPTEMBER 11, 2010 at 3:00 PM ON THE CORNER OF PARK  PLACE AND WEST BROADWAY and Meet-up with the Largest Caravan in America!

WHY: A  15 story mosque looking down at the cemetery of Ground Zero in the location of a building partially destroyed in the 911 Islamic attack  is wrong. It is indecent. The Burlington Building is Ground Zero.

WHY: September 11th was chosen because the Imam and Daisy said that would break ground on the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2011. That cannot stand.

From Pamela Geller, ” One other thing bears noting about the day of the greatest ground assault on US soil in our nation’s history. I go down to Ground Zero every 911. I do not get to go into the pit where the services and ceremonies take place as I have no “special status or press creds.” Only the families and the media can access the those events. So I (Geller) stand outside the pit and it is the most depressing place to be. Not for the obvious reasons but also for a little known reality most Americans know nothing about. Ground Zero becomes a magnet for every crackpot, anti-war, commie, socialist, 911 truther, sufferers of Bush Derangement Syndrome …..enemy of the state.”

September 11 since 2001 , every year ,  lower Manhattan has been dominated by America-haters who come out to dishonor those murdered and their families with offensive 9-11 conspiracy screeds.

NMAGZ: You can see those crack-pots  in action in 2008 (video)  here and (pics)  here

P1030016

Geller continues, “We can expect them again. and we do not want to leave the day to them. We will honor the victims and all Americans to fill Ground Zero with patriots on September 11th, 2010 at 3 :00 PM.

We are beginning with a brief memorial service honoring the victims and are not beginning our rally until the morning memorial services for the victims are concluded.”

Speakers for the 9-11 Memorial Rally: Members of victims 911 families, John Bolton, Geert Wilders (LIVE!), Andrew Breitbart (either live or via video stream) Gary Bernsten, Ilario Pantano ,Steve Malzberg ,Gary Berntsen,  Michael Grimm, a candidate for Congress from New York’s 13th district and a 9/11 first responder, ACLJ, and more soon to me announced.

Grammy Award winning producer, Trade Martin will be performing live “Salt In the Wound” (a song written by Rita Jones to express the feelings of all Americans who oppose the building of the mosque at Ground Zero)

Hosting the rally are Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer of FDI/SIOA

AND: Our sister organizations in Europe and Australia are holding solidarity rallies on September 11th. My colleague, Anders Gravers, will be speaking at a solidarity rally.

9/11 demo’s in US, Australia and Europe

We leave you with this thought from Robert Spencer who blasted the New York politicians and dominant liberal media:

“Are you tired of being smeared?

Every NY politician and every mainstream media source on this story has said this is a story about tolerance, against bigotry and who do you think they’re calling the bigots? The Americans who are standing up for American values against the most radically intolerant and hateful agenda on the planet…”!!!

Urge board of the Landmarks Preservation Commission to reject attempt to block construction of Islamic community center

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/2/10) — CAIR today called on American Muslims and other people of conscience to contact New York’s Landmarks Preservation Commission to ask that its members defend religious freedom and reject efforts by Islamophobes to block construction of an Islamic community center in that city.
The commission will vote Tuesday morning on whether to grant protected status to the building that would be knocked down to make way for the community center. Sources say the existing building does not meet architectural criteria necessary for protection by the city.

“We either believe in the longstanding American value of religious freedom or we don’t,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad. “Bigots and extremists should never be granted veto power over constitutionally-protected civil or religious rights.”
He noted that CAIR recently called on the Jewish Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to retract its “shameful” statement against the construction of the community center.

JULY 27, 2010 @ 6 PM : PROTEST THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE AT COMMUNITY BOARD#1

UPDATE: 7-23-10: Our legal team is working furiously to slow down mad rush to build the 911 mega mosque in time to open on September 11, 2011. Here’s the latest from the lawyer Jay Sekulow of the ACLJ . And you can read the ACLJ letter here.

FROM Pamela Geller on Landmark Status (7-22-10):  We have filed our written submission with the Landmarks Protection Commission. The record is closed. At least according to the LPC, the record is closed.

WE CAN STILL PROTEST THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE AT COMMUNITY BOARD#1

Community Board 1 meets on Tuesday at 6:00 PM at Dance New Amsterdam, 280 Broadway, 2nd Floor (entrance on Chambers and Elk Streets). Despite reports that the vote was unanimous, it was not. 29 voted for the Islamic supremacist mosque, 4 against, and 9 abstentions.

We need to be there! ALL OF US. It is critical that the world sees we will not go away and that we won’t back down. We need to be orderly and civil, but we need to let these people know we will not back down. The LPC is expected to vote at one of its upcoming meetings, probably in August.

In Staten Island, an average of 150 members of the community have protested every Sunday for six weeks against the planned sale of the convent building to the Muslim American Society (MAS), the public face of the Muslim Brotherhood. There is are reams of documentation tying the leaders of the MAS with Hamas and other terrorist organizations.

MARK YOUR CALENDERS

6:00 PM JULY 27th at  DANCE NEW AMSTERDAM .

From Arab Detroit, Claims that New York Mosque Sheds Light on Post 9-11 Islamophobia
July 22, 2010, 4:46 am
Filed under: Islam and mosques, mosque at ground zero, Uncategorized

Cries of Islamophobia from Arab Detroit News and the usual characters  posing as ‘moderates”. And  we all know how well the Muslims in Dearborn (Michigan!) are getting along with their local Christian Community.

What follows is their article with our NMAGZ reactions  in RED.

New York Mosque Initiative Sheds Light on Post 9-11 Islamophobia

A highly contentious plan to build a 13-story mosque in New York City has garnered its fare share of attention in recent days. Politicians, political pundits, and community members are ardently vocalizing their opinion about whether the mosque should be allowed to exist just a few blocks away from ground zero.

Organizers and supporting local Islamic institutions say the mosque, coined the Cordoba House, would aim to achieve a tipping point between Muslim-West relations and would work to promote a peaceful image of Muslim Americans around the county who stand in solidarity against the attacks of 9-11.

However, those opposing the mosque claim that granting its construction so close to the World Trade Center site would be insensitive to 9-11 families who may still have open wounds in the aftermath of the day’s tragedies. (who MAY still have open-wounds??)

(SNIP) in the last week,… anti-mosque rhetoric took a turn for the worst. In a provocative ad … the narrator calls upon viewers to “join the fight to kill the Ground Zero Mosque.” While both NBC and CBS have refused to run the ad, the clip has been well circulated online, (those) who support the video, simply say they represent the voice of people who refuse to cater to the politically correct. (SNIP)
.
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) spokesman, Ibrahim Hooper, worries about a resurgence of underlying racism and anti-Muslim backlash taking root not only in New York but nationwide. (CAIR worries about racism? (SNIP)) “What we’re seeing is that some people are trying to exploit and promote Islamophobia in our country by opposing these ordinary expansions of mosques…And they’ve actually put out step by step guides on how to oppose a mosque when it comes to your area, so it’s very disturbing,” Hooper told CNN last week.

NMAGZ: From Ibrahim Hooper, in an interview with the Minneapolis Star-Tribune in 1993: “I wouldn’t want to create the impression that I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future … But I’m not going to do anything violent to promote that. I’m going to do it through education.”

John Esposito, professor of Religion and International Affairs and director of the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University, calls such anti-Muslim speech intolerable. (interesting cast-of characters) In his CNN editorial, he denounces all “islam bashing charges,” in particular the accusation that the mosque— a 100 million dollar project— is being funded exclusively by foreign terrorist interests.  “The call by some New York politicians for a delay in the construction of the Cordoba Center to examine its funding is simply grandstanding that reinforces the notion that somehow all Muslims, mosques and Islamic centers are guilty until proved innocent,” said Esposito.

NMAGZ: From John Esposito  (when discussing his bridge-building Center of tolerance) “The Center, since its creation in 1993, has built bridges of understanding between the Muslim world and the West, addressing stereotypes of Islam and Muslims and issues and questions such as the clash of civilizations, and the compatibility of Islam and modern life – from democratization and pluralism to the status of women, minorities and human rights – and American foreign policy in the Muslim world.”

Imad Hamad, Michigan Regional Director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), says it is this extreme, odious discourse that reminds him of how deep seated islamophobia really is. “This kind of misinformed discussion attests to the fact that despite the long years of pain and suffering that we endured post 9-11, (now that statement is offensive, self-serving and insensitive) (SNIP)

NMAGZ: Imad Hamad … another bridge-builder to paradise….

President of the Michigan Palestine Office, Hasan Newash, is also frustrated that such anti-Muslim sentiments exist today, almost ten years after 9-11. ( bet he has no problem with relentless anti-Semitism or the murderous cries  of “From The River To the Sea) He questions why Muslims must fight to build a mosque near ground zero when Christians who sought to build a church near the Oklahoma city bombing site never met resistance. (CHRISTIANS did not blow up that building in the name of Jesus Christ) “The fact that this question is even raised–whether building the mosque is offensive or insensitive–is completely disturbing,” said Newash. (If anyone believes what these people have written here…now THAT is disturbing)

NMAGZ: And the organization of which Hassan Newash is President, is even  MORE disturbing. Check it out .

(In conclusion) Hasan says, “Muslims are not evil by definition. (but…Hasan, what about Islam? huh?)

Iman Rauf, Building Bridges Or “Who drank the Taqiyya Kool-Aid?”

If the Land Mark Commission and Major Bloomberg continue to ignore the protests and rallies against the building of the Ground Zero Mosque  then, sadly, the Cordoba Initiative will be given the green-light to break ground a year from now. On  Sept 11, 2011 this symbol of conquest will rise from the ashes of 9-11 looking remarkably like the Twin Towers . This Swimming Pool,  “Inter-Faith” Prayer Center now renamed Park 51, will become Da’wah Central at Ground Zero.

A rendering of the mosque presented to Manhattan's Community Board 1 Financial District Committee.

The Ground Zero Mosque is where Imam Abdul Rauf will then meet and pray and preach:

Taqiyya has opened doors for this bridge-building Imam to preach his ” peace and love” . Yet through his silence he has also condoned suicide bombing ( seems he raises no objections)

From Atlas Shrugs:  Sunday, July 18, 2010  “ Ground Zero Mega Mosque Imam Rauf raised no objections to official calls for suicide bombing in America and Israel.  The more we know about this stealth jihadist, the worse it gets. This mosque is an act of jihad. (snip)

What about the role of women?

At  The American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA), an organization  founded by Imam Rauf,  under  WOMEN IN ISLAM,   “Gender equality is an intrinsic part of Islamic belief.” and “Islamic theology emphasizes social justice, and this includes justice in domestic affairs.” [ the entire page is worth reading] and concludes with “This is why granting political rights is the most effective way to redress legitimate women’s grievances. For as a nation becomes increasingly democratized, the ballot box becomes the means by which each constituent group in society attains its objectives.”

And  Shariah vs  Democracy?

From ASMA, “ The Prophet Muhammad implemented the rights of women, as laid out in the Quran, and worked to level the imbalance between men and women in his society by providing a living…”

What of all the women maimed and murdered in the name of Allah? The Christians, Jews and the apostates?!

Thankfully the  SIOA  (Stop Islamisation of America) campaign is now reaching out to those who  may want to leave Islam. Their ads are appearing on taxis in Chicago and Dallas with more to follow.

07.12.10_freedom_defense_09

The Coptic Christians warn everyone to protect your women; protect your daughters! Which makes watching this smugly confident video even more frightening since it reaches out to WOMEN  CONVERTS in the West:

LISTEN to the dhimmi tourists in Jordan as they giggle while learning  to put on a burqa .

If you would like something a little less claustrophobic, here’ s “How to Wear your Niqab”

OR “How to where your lovely Hijab”

Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf’ s masjid says that he combines the teachings of the Qur’an, the stories of Rumi, and the examples of Muhammad and Jesus, to demonstrate that only one obstacle stands between each of us and absolute compassion — ourselves”.
.
America remains naive and unaware of the threat of creeping Shariah…of creeping Islam….
.

.
The gullible are drinking  the taqiyya-kool aid. What more could  Imam Rauf hope for as he leads the infidels to his beautiful Park51 where he can   convert…convert…convert.
.

Perhaps NYC Intifada has come to pass after all….

LandMark D-Day (July 13, 2010)ALERT: MEETING LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED

JULY 14: Video of the Landmark Commission Meeting is now posted . Please go here

UPDATE: Mayor ‘no term limits for me’ Bloomberg continues to twist  and manipulate the Landmark Meeting…constantly changing the location and time….The FIX is in and it is an OUTRAGE. If you are in the area and you see this ALERT: BE THERE!!

From Atlas Shrugs:

Please get this out to your lists. Perhaps someone should wait at the last venue change and let folks know. They have moved the meeting place again. This is deliberate. The fewer people who witness this vile exhibition of cronyism, dhimmitude, and corruption, the better. Bloomberg is a snake.

LANDMARKS PRESERVATION COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ****PLEASE NOTE**** THE LOCATION FOR THE PUBLIC HEARING HAS CHANGED

THE NEW LOCATION IS: 681 Park Avenue

The Public Hearing for 45-47 Park Place application will take place at

681 Park Avenue,
Hunter College Assembly Hall, Borough of Manhattan
(The entrance is on East 69th Street, between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue).
Please bring a picture ID for entrance into the building.
The hearing will start at 2:00p.m. – end at 5:00p.m.

.

Why is Mayor Bloomberg trying to expedite the building of the Ground Zero mega mosque, when according to a recent Quinnipiac poll, the majority of New Yorkers do not want it? The World Trade Center has not been rebuilt. It is still a large gaping horrible wound. The 911 Memorial Museum has not been built, although remains of the dead are still be found, and yet Bloomberg is ambivalent about all that….. but the mega mosque? That’s his priority.

One phone call from Bloomberg could table these hearings, giving much needed time for our landmarks legal team to work up our report. The only one who has accountability on this is Mayor Bloomberg. He controls the landmarks commission; they are all his appointees. None of them will go against him.

Make it your business to contact Bloomberg’s office today.

Bloomberg has an obligation to meet with the Coalition for the Preservation of Ground Zero to hear what the 911 families and the majority of New Yorkers feel passionately about.

Contact — Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, City Hall. Write him every day:
PHONE 311 (or 212-NEW-YORK outside NYC)
FAX (212) 788-8123
E-MAIL: http://www.nyc.gov/html/mail/html/mayor.html

And it has architectural landmark status –look at these pictures and background info on the architect, Daniel Badger. Read more HERE at Atlas Shrugs

Park palce Broaday landmark

Park Place Broadway landmark
45 Park Place (Ground Zero mosque site) 311 Broadway

Look at the two buildings side by side. The building on the left is 45 Park Place. The building on the right is 311 Broadway, and was granted landmark status in January 2010 by the Landmarks Preservation Commission on the grounds that there were very few Italian Renaissance, palazzo-style buildings left in the city. Yet both buildings are Italian Renaissance, palazzo-style architecture in the same neighborhood. Why is one being granted landmark status and the other being denied that status? A rhetorical question, of course.”

Ground Zero Mosque: A Cultural Center or Islamization?

By Ashraf Ramelah

May 20, 2010

….. the Planning Commission of lower Manhattan has approved the construction of a $100-million mosque near the site of Ground Zero. ..The thirteen-floor building… will reach a height of one hundred feet… a cultural center which will work to bring harmony between Islamic culture and New Yorkers…constructed in a city still bleeding from one of the worst civilian attacks since WWII,
.
Pearl Harbor under attack
still suffering with the sad memory of the destruction of the World Trade Center and the loss of almost three thousand lives.
.
After almost nine years, New Yorkers and all Americans still wait to see the replacement of the destroyed towers… P1050895
.
Instead …a proposed Islamic cultural center… A rendering of the mosque presented to Manhattan's Community Board 1 Financial District Committee.
a landmark and a memorial to the victory of bin Laden and company as a sample of Islamic jihad against Western infidels.

As a professional architect, I wonder why the Planning Commission of lower Manhattan decided to keep its residents uninformed about a project in this sensitive location with such purpose and proportion. A project of this size would normally need in-depth urban study and infrastructure planning.(snip)
.
Aren’t we the least bit suspicious of this desired harmony when public condemnations or demonstrations of remorse made by Muslims and Arab leaders regarding this barbaric act have been few and far between? (snip) Furthermore, all Americans have suffered the offensive rumors that claim the origin of the 9/11 attacks to be an inside job by our own FBI or the American Jews — insulting our intelligence and humiliating the victims and their families with this insidious form of denial.
.
Let us not forget as well that New York City Mayor Giuliani refused to accept a donation of ten million dollars from a Saudi Prince as a pledge to rebuild whatever was destroyed by Arab terrorists (his own fellow citizens) in lower Manhattan.
(snip) By using his heart in a moment of great courage, Giuliani gave the whole world a lesson in confronting Arab hypocrisy. At a time when Americans were in a state of shock, the insensitivity of such an offer by the Saudi Prince was counteracted by the American spirit embodied in Giuliani’s wholesale rejection of money coming from the same source as the attackers in order to dictate their own agenda and buy our sovereignty.
.
… a statement made by an imam indicating that the intended cultural center would bring “a new discourse in the relationship between the United States, New York City, and the Muslim world.”(snip)  The reality of a supremacist system within Islamic culture should be enough to preclude any dialogue with those who live by the U.S. Constitution and subscribe to the modern culture of New York City.
.
(snip) A few days ago, in an interview published in Kul-al-Arab, a weekly newspaper in Israel, a Knesset Member, Imam Masoud Ganaim, was calling to replace the state of Israel with an Islamic caliphate. This kind of remark shows the true nature of Islam today…  Leaders of Islam and the Cordoba Institute must… prove to us that they demonstrate the same openness to co-exist with those of all other faiths and beliefs in the nations where Islam dominates.
.
The free world has already allowed the most egregious actions to take place, such as the placement of Iran onto the U.N. Commission for Women’s Rights, the FIFA reversal of the banning of the hijab worn in Olympic games, and the Egyptian sponsorship of the U.N. Religious Defamation Act….  Shall we add to this list the building of an Islamic mega-center at the sacred site of Ground Zero..?
.
If New York is in need of a new cultural center in the heart of the Ground Zero community, it should be built and run by those who stand up for freedom, human rights, tolerance, and the love of humanity.
.
New Yorkers have been the ones to open their hearts and receive immigrants, who come from around the world to seek a better life and share in our freedom — the kind of freedom which those who seek to build this project know nothing about.

How close is too close to Ground Zero….

Perhaps some of you remember this? The Word Trade Center a week before 9-11. Found this photo-documentary by Mariano Airaldi with music by Charly Garcia. An interesting view of the interior of the World Trade Center and people in everyday actions in them taken a week before the 9/11 attacks.

And then…this?

The stairs to no where?Once the WTC…

And as we approach the NEVER AGAIN Rally on June 6, at Ground Zero

We recommend these eyewitness reports :

This is the location today (1 short block from the statement that follows)

P1050858

The proposed mosque at Park Pl and West Broadway

P1050846

Park Place and West Broadway….

P1050844

On the corner of Park Place and West Broadway, it is as dark as night. Plumes of orange smoke curl out of the windows of 7 World Trade Center. A fireman says the building is going to collapse: “We’ve stopped trying to put out the fire.” A strange calm envelops the street as several dozen cops, firemen, EMS workers, and INS people in black helmets and vests stare silently at the building. Pieces of No. 7 begin to fall. There are no sounds of impact; each landing is silenced by the thick carpet of dust and paper. Suddenly, just before 3 p.m., there are screams: “Clear the area. Everybody out. Now. The building’s going to fall.” Perhaps it’s weariness, but nobody runs. Everyone just moves deliberately. The building doesn’t fall yet.

William Delemo’s bodega on Church and Chambers is closed to civilians. He says he saw the first plane hit because it was so low over his shop. “People died right over there,” he says, indicating a spot three blocks north of the World Trade Center. The listener is skeptical, so he shows the outline in the dust of where one of the engines landed on a woman. “It was the worst thing I ever saw.”

At 10:01 a.m., filmmaker Tony Bui was sprinting away from his apartment on Greenwich and Rector Streets, trying to outrun the wall of dust and debris. People were tripping, falling, choking in the cloud; he held his sweater over his mouth and raced into the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, climbing around and over stopped cars. “So much debris and soot and smoke went into the tunnel with us that it was hard to breathe in there,” he says. “I thought we were gone. It was like Pompeii.” But up ahead, some women found a service door. “I heard this massive yelling — Go to the door! Go to the door! — and everyone just ran.” Seconds later, they were in another section of the tunnel, still packed with frozen traffic, but where the air, at least, was clear. They ran the rest of the way to Brooklyn, emerging into the sun on the Gowanus Expressway.

Laura Florman sits in the courtyard of Independence Plaza, the high-rise where she’s lived for 22 years. Her 38th-floor apartment faced the Twin Towers, four blocks away. “The worst part was the people jumping out,” she whispers. “There must have been a dozen or twenty that I saw. There was one man tethered to a rope, swinging, and then the rope broke.”

After the second hit, Jeffrey Corbin, a psychiatrist at St. Clare’s Hospital, was asked to help staff an observation area. A firefighter was the first to arrive, he says. “He thought he was having a heart attack. He wasn’t — but he’d inhaled a lot of debris. As doctors worked on him, he started saying, ‘I don’t know where my buddy is.’ His team was at the first collapsed building trying to dig people out when the second building collapsed. His buddy just disappeared.” Throughout the morning, security guards, firemen, and police officers described the scene to him. “Guys were saying, ‘I signed up to be a police officer, not to be in a war zone.’ One woman came out of the building and looked up and saw a woman holding a baby in her arms jump out a window.”

I know there are bodies in there,” Father Alfred Guthrie, a Catholic priest, says to two firemen on Vesey Street as he climbs a pile of rubble perhaps twenty feet high. In a slow, mechanical voice, one says, “That building is going to fall.” He points at No. 7, which is already listing. Father Guthrie climbs back out. “I have to get to the bodies,” he says. He finds only one, with no sign of trauma, or religion. A policeman in tears grabs him — he’d lost brothers.

“I was on the 98th floor,” says Kevin Dorrian, a carpenter leaning against a van on Franklin Street around 1:30 with some fellow union members. “I saw a friend of mine get blown out the window. He was right there, three feet from me. He was putting up blinds. I couldn’t do nothing. I took the stairs down, past the fires. I saw a light, a fucking lamppost light, blow up. The glass flew into a person. Killed him immediately.” Dorrian’s waiting to be allowed to go back in, to dig through the rubble.

By 4 p.m., reinforcements at Engine Company 24 and Ladder Company 5, at Sixth Avenue and King Street, are waiting to go look for their friends. Thirteen men from the overnight shift had been among the first firefighters at the scene. “My husband’s new,” says one young woman crying in front of the station. “He just started.” (To read all of the statements of the eyewitnesses to 9-11, go here>>)

WHY a Rally at Ground Zero  on June 6th? To remember two life-altering days in American history. D-day, is when our brave young men took to the beaches of Normandy, France and led the way to finally ending  a brutal World War; a moment in our history that had an enormous impact on that generation and their children, just as 9-11 has had on ours…

A war fed by Fascisti  that lives  on today in the Islamist ideology that brutally murdered 3000 American citizens on Sept 11, 2001.

D-Day : “Operation Overlord” The code name for the greatest amphibious invasion of our time.

D-Day occurred on June 6, 1944, and involved U.S., Canadian, and British troops invading the beaches of Normandy in order to liberate the oppressed European peoples and stop the Nazi Army.

….

What follows is General Eisenhower’s Letter to the D-Day Soldiers

.
SOLDIERS, SAILORS AND AIRMEN OF THE ALLIED EXPEDITIONARY FORCE!

You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.

But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United States have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned ! The free men of the world are marching together to Victory !

I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full Victory !

Good Luck ! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.

[signed] Dwight D. Eisenhower

Most of those who fought and landed at Normandy were twenty years old or younger (my father-in-law was one of them,an Italian kid from Hells Kitchen) and thanks to these brave young men  the Allies established a stable beachhead and quickly took control of occupied France. The D-Day invasion led the way to Berlin and thus, the end of the war.

Which is why we will be at Ground Zero on June 6, 2010; our beachhead. BE THERE! Remember  those who were murdered on 9-11. Give thanks to those who fought and died on June 6, 1944 .  In their name , pledge to NEVER FORGET.

If there is any question as to whether the planned mosque(s) are inappropriately close to hallowed ground, take this quick tour from the S.E corner of Ground Zero to the “Ground Zero” mosque.Take Note: the new building is rising at the S/E corner…the pit is beginning to disappear….

We drove from the S/E corner of Ground Zero, but it’s not a long walk (that’s the point) to show how close Ground Zero is to the proposed ‘Ground Zero” mosque.

Honor and  respect those murdered on 9-11 by saying NO TO a MOSQUE AT GROUND ZERO.

How high can you go? As the masjids compete at Ground Zero….

We took another look at the local masjids (there is more than one  in lower Manhattan) and the murderous devastation at Ground Zero that was caused by Muslim terrorists.

Ground zero

.

It seems good sense and sensitivity are missing as these masjids compete to build larger and larger mosques at Ground Zero;  in a  city that remains under assault by Islamists  (most recently the Times Square bomber)

And more on this from a  Fox News report  at Atlas Shrugs :

Smaller Mosque Near Ground Zero by Ed Barnes – FOXNews.comAs controversy surrounds the construction of a 13-story mosque just two blocks from Ground Zero, FOX News has learned that an effort to place a second mosque close to the hallowed site in New York City is in its advanced stages.

As controversy surrounds the construction of a 13-story mosque just two blocks from Ground Zero, FOX News has learned that an effort to place a second mosque close to the hallowed site in New York City is in its advanced stages.

The Masjid Mosque has raised $8.5 million and is seeking an additional $2.5 million to begin construction. While it apparently has not settled on a final location, it has told donors it plans to build very close to where 3,000 people were killed in the September 11 terror attacks.

In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the ‘House of Allah’ next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of ‘LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH’ in downtown Manhattan.”

One source said he believed the planners are considering a five-story building on 23 Park Place, closer to Ground Zero than the 13-story mosque the Cordoba Initiative is planning to build. But a tax record search shows that 23 Park Place is in private hands and has not changed owners since 2008.

Unlike the massive $100 million Cordoba House mosque, the Masjid Mosque is small – and it is no stranger to the neighborhood. Since 1970 it had been located at 12 Warren Street, about four blocks north of the World Trade Center, in a neat but nondescript industrial space that once housed a printing shop. It lost its lease in 2008 when the building was sold, and it was evicted from its second-floor prayer space on May 25 of that year. Since then it has been operating out a cramped basement space in a nearby building at 20 Warren Street.

On Friday evenings the mosque, which is popular with street vendors and taxi drivers, becomes so crowded that worshipers spill onto nearby sidewalks to pray in what has come to be a community event.

NMAGZ: Now what??

The sting of death remains strong  so perhaps this over-reach at Ground Zero  by the competing masjids was just what New York needed to rise up and say, NO MORE.

Go build your giant mosques elsewhere; NOT a Ground Zero!
