No Mosques At Ground Zero

Ezra Levant at AFDI/SIOA 911 Freedom Rally (2011)

Ezra Levant is a warrior for free speech in Canada whose Western Standard magazine was one of the only ones in the Western world to stand up to Islamic intimidation and reprint the Danish cartoons of Muhammad. He hosts The Source daily on Sun News Network, and has written several books on politics, including Shakedown: How our government is undermining democracy in the name of human rights.

On 9-11-11, the then anniversary of the attacks against America by Muslim terrorists, AFDI and its Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) program  encouraged all Americans to stand against the Islamic supremacist mega-mosque at Ground Zero and the anti-Semitic Durban III conference that will be held in New York City at the same time. It is time to stand for American values on the tenth anniversary of the worst attack ever on American soil.

Support Bob Turner in NY A.Weiner Special Election (Turner Opposes Ground Zero Mega-Mosque)

NY Anthony Weiner Special Election: Support Bob Turner, Opposes Ground Zero Mega-Mosque as Tenth Anniversary Approaches, Islamic Apologists Gather their Armies

The race for the replacement of Hillary Clinton’s significant other’s “husband” aka beard, Anthony Weiner, is heating up. Anthony’s “weiner” got him in quite the pickle, and his lewd and disgusting sexting of his privates, etc., resulted in his forced resignation. His “wife,” Huma Abedeen, known more for her jihadist parentage and closerthanthis (ahem) longtime relationship with Hillary Clinton, has lost her perfectly constructed cover. Huma (Hillary’s “secret weapon”) is the daughter of an “Islamic scholar” in Saudi Arabia. Her mother is a professor in Saudi Arabia. Ouch.

Back to the race. Bob Turner is within striking distance of his liberal Democratic opponent, David Weprin,  in the 9th Congressional District’s Special Election vote. If we can get enough support for Bob Turner on September 13, Bob may pull a Sen. Scott Brown upset win here.

Turner is going to need our help. And I like what he is saying. Gutsy!

Bob Turner opposes the Ground Zero mosquestrosity. It takes courage to take this stand publicly, although the overwhelming majority of Americans oppose this cultural obscenity. The fact is, anyone who dares take this stand publicly is going to take a beating, a relentless pounding from the Islamic supremacists and their media stooges. We must pound back. What can you do to support Bob Turner? Do it!

The Ground Zero mosque, in a building that was partially destroyed in the 911 attacks, is deliberately provocative, deeply offensive and inhumane. Support a politician who stands for human compassion and common decency.

We must support candidates who have the political will to stand up for America and against the leftist/Islamic machine. Turner has come out swinging in the special election and taken a righteous stand on the Ground Zero mosque. In light of this terrible war declared on us 9/11/01, bravo!

So I salute Turner, the only politician with the courage of his conviction, to speak out against this middle finger to America. Volunteer. Knock on doors. Donate. Fight for freedom!

Turner hits Weprin on mosque Carl Campanile, NY Post August 12, 2011

Republican Bob Turner unleashed an attack in the first TV ad of his campaign to fill Anthony Weiner’s congressional seat yesterday, blasting Democratic rival David Weprin for supporting the controversial mosque near Ground Zero.

In the ad (vimeo link is here) Turner calls Park51, the planned Islamic center located near the site of the 9/11 attacks, “a purposeful and confrontational act of provocation.”

Set to appear on cable-TV networks in the Queens-Brooklyn district, the 30-second spot shows footage of the World Trade Center burning.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

“It’s been 10 short years. Everyone remembers. Some, though, want to commemorate the tragedy by building a mosque on Ground Zero,” a narrator says.

“President Obama thinks that’s a good idea. And so does congressional candidate David Weprin.”

Weprin said it’s “shameful” for Turner to use 9/11 “for his own political gain.”

“I knew people who lost their lives that day, and Bob Turner dishonors their memory by politicizing the attacks on New York,” he said.

What nonsense. Standing up for your country, your war dead, your system of governance is “political gain”? Weprin doesn’t know what it means. Actually, Weprin’s statement is bashing Turner’s courage for his own “political gain.”

We should get behind Turner in a big way.

This is Mayor Koch’s endorsement of Turner:

And Atlas reader Jack wrote this letter to the NY Post editor. Brilliantly done!

Bob McManus, Editorial Page Editor

Dear Editor,
What is “shameful” about the building of a mosque in the shadows of “Ground Zero” is the refusal of liberal politicians like Assemblyman David Weprin to support Congressman Peter King in calling for an investigation of the financing for the “Ground Zero” mosque.
Since the developer of the “Ground Zero” mosque, Sharif el Gamal, was able to purchase the Burlington Coat Factory building for only $4.8 million, even though the owners of the Park Place  building were offered $18 million for the building by real estate developer Kevin Glodek, then within a few months the financially troubled Sharif el Gamal purchasing a 12-story office building for $45.7 million from the politically connected Witkoff Group giving the Witkoff Group a quick profit of $14.2 million on this “flip” of real estate, were these real estate purchases related?
Also, was Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf brought in as a partner to get Middle East financing from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal who contributed millions of dollars to Imam Rauf’s “American Society of Muslim Advancement? Another question that should be answered given Saudi Arabia’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood.
Finally, and of even more important, given the damage to America’s national security that was done by calling 9/11 families who oppose the “Ground Zero” mosque “racist” and “bigots”, before accusing his Republican opponent, retired businessman Bob Turner of politics for supporting the 9/11 families, democratic career politician David Weprin should demand that Sharif el Gamal not only disclose who his partners are, but where the “Ground Zero” mosque developers are getting their financing from as Congressman Peter King demanded. ACLJ - American Center for Law and Justice

We are days away from filing our legal brief, and the atheists who are suing to have the Ground Zero Cross removed are stepping up their angry rhetoric. The President of American Atheists believes the reason a clear majority of Americans want the Cross placed at the 9-11 memorial and museum is because, “Christianity hates that [9/11] had nothing to do with them.” Now that is a statement born of anger and ignorance.

protect the Ground Zero Cross I want to thank you and every member of the ACLJ who is responding to these ridiculous attacks.

Over 66,000 people have already signed on to our brief using We need only 6,000 more to reach our goal of 72,000 online signatures representing the 72% of Americans who support the Ground Zero Cross.

If you have not already done so, please sign on to our brief to defend the Cross from these atheists’ lawsuit today. You can help us reach our goal by forwarding this message to your friends and by using the Facebook “Like” buttons in this email.

So many of you have already taken action in support of the Ground Zero Cross and stood by the ACLJ as we defend our liberties in court. We are days away from filing our legal arguments in this case with the court; but because of your support, I want to give you a first look at what we are going to say.

Here is a short excerpt of what we will be presenting to the court:

In the days and weeks following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the challenged World Trade Center Cross (the “Cross”) had a widely documented and positive effect on the first responders at the Ground Zero site. It is entirely appropriate and lawful for the curators of a museum to acknowledge the Cross’s historic role by placing it in the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. The Supreme Court of the United States has directly addressed the constitutionality of religiously-themed museum exhibits and has clearly held that such exhibits are within the realm of appropriate government speech. In fact, the constitutionality of religious displays in museums has long been presumed by the Court. Simply put, historically significant religious artifacts can be displayed in taxpayer-supported museums, and any contrary ruling would lead to absurd results.

I made a similar argument in Pleasant Grove v. Summum to the U.S. Supreme Court and won. The amicus brief we are filing to keep the Ground Zero Cross at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum is just the first step in what will be a long legal battle, but I am confident we will win this battle as well.
Please join us in defense of the Cross by joining the Committee to Protect the Ground Zero Cross today. We need only 6,000 additional online signatures. You can help push us over the top.
Once you have signed, please encourage your friends, coworkers, and neighbors to join us in this fight by forwarding this email. You can also join the nearly 10,000 Americans who have shared the Committee to Protect the Ground Zero Cross on Facebook by using the “Like” buttons in this email.
Thank you for taking a stand for the Ground Zero Cross and for your continued support for the ACLJ.

Maajid Nawaz(former Islamist) speaks at 911 Memorial Preview Site

Neglected to get this posted in April . My apologies.

UPDATE June 2011: Scroll down please for thoughts and observations regarding Maajid Nawaz from friend and reader G. Perrry –

On April 28, 2011 ( at 6:30PM) “9/11, Today and Tomorrow” Speakers Series at the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site invited Maajid Nawaz,

an ex-member of an Islamist extremist group, to detail his personal experience with the Islamic radicalization process and to explain how he works to confront it.

This presentation in the speakers series was called, ” The Front Lines of Counter Terrorism: Confronting Islamist Extremist Propaganda “.

Maajid Nawaz is a former a high-ranking member of the Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir and spent four years in an Egyptian prison for his affiliation with the group. He emerged to help establish the Quillium Foundation, the world’s first counter-extremism think tank, where he serves as executive director.

He is also the founder of Khudi, a counter-extremism social movement working to promote a democratic culture in Pakistan.

There are some who feel that Nawaz is NOT what he appears to be .

Here is his 2008 testimony before Senator Lieberman’s Homeland Security Committee (this is an 8 page pdf) . It would seem that even though his advocacy of a purely personal Islam  devoid of all political “Islamism” is good, on the other hand, his representations about Shariah in the Lieberman testimony and about Islam (etc) are all (pretty much without exception) not factually based; including his assertions about the Shariah State.

Nawaz speaks for 38 minutes and the Q and A is approx 18 minutes.

At 33, with slightly greying hair, Maajid arrived dressed in very British-‘mod’  attire: trousers and trench coat which harkened back to a 1960’s Beatles-look (particularly those pants.) And there seemed to be quite a few women (and men) who were in awe of Nawaz. Glowing smiles. Groupies almost. You could feel their quiet-eagerness awaiting his speech.

As for his presentation, Nawaz gave us a way-too-safe 3o minute biographical rehash of his life that can easily be read on-line. Perhaps some of this is necessary to ‘set the stage’, but other than his pointed criticism of Peter King ( he supports the committee but feels King was not the man to lead it and a wise-crack about Glenn Beck) to this observer,  the teaser “Confronting Islamist Extremist Propaganda”, was barely addressed.  Of the questions asked of Nawaz, the focus was on  ‘The Narrative’. This was the magic-word of the evening “The Narrative”… over and over….

The audience was small, perhaps about 30, but this is an intimate space and isn’t meant for large gatherings. And since we observed the disappointment of a few  tourists who wanted to enter the Memorial Preview site (the site was closed to  the public at 5 pm rather than the usual 7 pm) perhaps they might have been invited-in (or not)…

A slide show with a few pictures of the Memorial Preview Site  and the audience (after the presentation):

Vodpod videos no longer available.

What was accomplished by inviting Maakid Nawaz to the Memorial site  is unclear. It has been suggested that perhaps Maajid Nawaz’ appearance  at the Memorial Preview Site should NOT have gone on without critical comment. They ask , “Should this be the purpose of the 9/11 Memorial.”

From  G. Perry

I’m going to admit right off the bat that I’ve only watched a third of the speech so far, but I’ve come to a few incipient observations.

First of all, thanks for the video. Regardless of what you think about the speaker, what happened during that event is important irrespective of what occurs in the future at Ground Zero. I’m glad I had the opportunity to view it, at least in part.

Secondly, as to whether or not he should be invited to speak at what’s sacred ground for so many Americans-especially New Yorkers-I don’t believe he should for a number of reasons not the least of which is that he has no existential connection to the families who lost loved ones on that day.

Theoretically, someone who’s been involved in jihadist violence could have something useful to say about combating his fellow “brothers.” Even so, I doubt the appropriate place for that person to speak is at a memorial to 2,800 people who were slain by adherents to the very same religion. That’s if you belive Maajid Nawaz is sincere, which is another question altogether.

I know it’s hard to infer people’s true beliefs based upon their speeches, and this problem is faced by a lot of Muslims or ex-Muslims who are ostensibly opposed to jihad or have renounced their previous anti-American, anti-Semitic stands, e.g. Walid Shoebat, Musab Yousef, among many others. However, after having listened to what Nawaz has to say, I’m not entirely convinced that he’s sincere.

The Quilliam Foundation is essentially a creature of the British government. I know they admit this when questioned, but I don’t think that many people who are casual observers realize that all of its funding sources derive, albeit indirectly, from the average UK taxpayer. Keep in mind, this is the same government that for decades sponsored official, “moderate Islamists associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, e.g. The Muslim Council of Britain. They still sponsor these groups-once Abu Hamza was ejected from Finsbury the mosque was reopened under new management, that management being the Muslim Brotherhood. I’m not necessarily saying the two organizations are analogous, but it’s something to consider.

Plus, you have to consider the composition of this group’s staff:

It seems to be comprised primarily of Muslims who claim they’ve renounced a belief in Islamism, but don’t present much evidence that they’ve renounced their belief in violent jihad. A case in point is Noman Benotman-the fellow who’s been quoted in recent days in news stories proclaiming his insider knowledge of who’s going to replace UBL in Al Qaeda’s leadership. In other words, someone who’s supposedly ostracized himself completely from the jihadist subculture represented by Al Qaeda is still close enough to the situation to know who will succeed Osama Bin Laden. Either that, or he’s simply full of hot air-I opt for the latter explanation, but either way, it doesn’t paint a very flattering picture of Quilliam as an institution.

Check out this article from The New Republic a few years ago, which examined Mr. Benotman’s alleged break with AQ:

You’ll notice that he still justifies the jihad in Iraq. In other words, “resistance” against Americans who are “occupying” Arab-Muslim lands is perfectly legitimate. So blowing someone up with an IED or beheading them is okay if you happen to live in the Middle East, but verboten if you live in England. To describe that as a culturally relativist attitude is an understatement. Granted, his views might have changed in the past three years, but I haven’t found a quote from him in the intervening period disclaiming responsibility for the views he expressed to Peter Bergen in that article. Which isn’t to say that Nawaz holds the same views, but you have to assume they share some commonalities, since they are both on the board of directors of Quilliam.

Finally, the rest of the Quilliam fellows seem to be an ad hoc mixture of radical leftists who’ve written for such esteemed publications as Comment is Free-a bastion of anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism-and Counterpunch, which is almost as bad. They seem to be primarily concerned with alleged right wing violence aimed at Muslim Britons-a point that Nawaz himself emphasized quite ineffectively during the portion of the speech I watched.

I suppose you have to address the BNP and Blood and Honour in order to maintain some street credibility with leftists, and the theme of racist nationalism and radical Islam being opposite poles is a recurring element in contemporary British culture-for example, it’s referred to repeatedly in one of my favorite English novels, White Teeth-but the amount of emphasis they place on this issue-and the fact that they assume that it is as dangerous as the creeping sharia found in the UK-makes question their true motivations. While I do believe that there can be true leftists who oppose Islamism on ideological grounds, I don’t believe that their contribution to this debate will be the decisive factor, and often times their philosophy occludes the issue. A perfect illustration of this phenomenon is Tarek Fatah, a committed Rousseauian and die-hard leftist who thinks the best way to combat the Muslim Brotherhood and like-minded organizations is to embrace the values of republican France.

I realize a lot of good people-Frank Gaffney among them-embrace this man, but I think his contribution to the debate is completely counterproductive, and his real views-which include a passionate enmity towards Israel-were exposed during a debate with Irshad Manji.

In short, I tend to agree with you on this subject.  I’m not saying Maajid Nawaz is a complete fraud, but I also don’t believe his views have a place at the burial site for so many Americans who were murdered by Islam.

-good times, G. Perry

We here at NMAGZ support the planned hearings in Washington , DC  but are saddened to see Congressman King buckle under to the CAIR /Muslim Brotherhood machine that always plays the racist/victim card. Peter King had an opportunity to include men and women who are respected and would have been fair-minded in their presentations.  It seems now that the hearings have  become a weak-sister of what it could have been. On February 20, 2011 (Muhammad’s birthday), approximately 200 people came to Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer’s New York Premiere of their seminal, groundbreaking documentary.

This powerful film exposed the shameful media biases regarding the proposed Ground Zero Mosque; Imam Rauf and wife Daisy Kahn can do no wrong in their eyes.  But, now the truth is out in this amazing documentary.

The Videos 9/11 Panel at “The Ground Zero Mosque Film” at CPAC Premiere
February 16, 2011, 1:07 am
Filed under: Islam and mosques, mayor bloomberg sells out, mosque at ground zero

UPDATE : Videos are now posted from Screening on Day Two (Feb 12, 2011)of the World premiere. Please scroll down.

NMAGZ was on hand for this two day event that was presented AT not by CPAC (The Conservative Political Action Conference) 2011 .

It was the World Premiere of the seminal ground breaking documentary:”The Ground Zero Mosque: Second Wave of the 9/11 Attacks”.

Produced by Pamela Geller (Atlas Shrugs)  and Robert Spencer ( Jihad Watch)  this was the World Premiere of a powerful documentary. Day One was a riveting panel. Day Two was the the screening.

On Day One, we heard painful testimonies from families whose loved ones were  murdered that day by Muslim terrorists. We also heard from NYC Councilman, Dan Halloran (the only member of the City Council willing to speak out against the Ground Zero mosque) Also,we heard from  recent candidate for office in South Carolina, Ilario Pantano. He spoke briefly  from the audience.

On Friday, February 11, 2011, Day One, the room was packed. This was an event that CPAC did not support and did not have on its printed schedule. So, AFDI (American Freedom Defense Initiative) and SIOA (Stop Islamization of America) arranged the room at the Marriott in Washington, DC .

They promoted it themselves (not CPAC) and the room was PACKED. And on Day Two, for the screening, the room was PACKED. Those who attended CPAC knew what an important event this was.

CPAC did mange to list the documentary on the poster for the screening room.

TAKE NOTE: Geller and Spencer have done events at CPAC  three times now; offering up important panels with speakers and topics that CPAC should embrace, and CPAC instead  ignores. See links  for the previous events: (2010 AFDI  Panel is here>> and 2009 Geert Wilders at CPAC s here>>)

There are eleven videos from Day One. All are powerful ( including the Q and A) but if you have time for only one, then choose this recap of  Sally Regenhard and you will see:

  • Why this film HAD to be made
  • Why the building of the mosque is a disgrace
  • Why we must no longer be silent.

The first video  from Day One is Robert Spencer’s opening remarks

Pamela Geller introduces the panel and followed by an emotionally powerful trailer of the documentary

Rosaleen Tallon’s  brother, Shawn (a firefighter), was murdered on 9/11. She read the coroner’s report that her mother had received for the first time in public.

Sally Regenhard’s only son, Christian (a firefighter) was murdered on 9/11
Joyce Boland, whose husband Vince was in the audience, spoke of  their son ,Vincent, who was murdered on 9/11.

Ilene Walsh  whose son Michael Brennan (a firefighter) was murdered on 9/11. She too mentioned the devastation have finding so little (if any) remains of their murdered loved ones . His sister Patricia Walsh was in the audience.

NYC Councilman Daniel Halloran, the only one out of 49 council members to stand up for America and the 911 families.

Nelly Braginskaya spoke about the proposed mosque at Park51 (Ground Zero), Daisy Kahn , and her only son, Alex, who was murdered on 9/11. Her accented English may be difficult at times, but even so, Nelly delivers an endearing, very touching and feisty speech

Rosa P. Leonetti whose  brother-in-law , Joseph ( a firefighter) was murdered on 9/11.

Next is the Q and A with 9/11 Families and Geller and Spencer:

There were questions about Sharia law, the Islamist infiltration of CPAC and the proposed mosque at Park51 (Ground Zero).

At approximately 7:49 you will hear the remarks that Pamela Geller made regarding the infiltration of CPAC that was picked-up by Glenn Beck.

We had younger members in attendance at CPAC who  have never seen the truth about who attacked us that day. Of what really happened to those who were murdered that  day.

DAY TWO:February 12, 2011. Before the screening: Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller’s opening remarks

After the screening 9/11 Family Members, Rosa P. Leonetti and Nelly Braginskaya spoke of their murdered loved ones , reminding us of WHY this film HAD to be made.

This is a film that must be seen. We must never forget.

If you are in the New York area you can see it NOW. The New York City Premiere of the Ground Zero Mosque documentary film is to be shown on Muhammad’s birthday, February 20th, 2011. At 7:30 PM

St. Lukes Theatre, 308 W 46th Street, New York City

**You must RSVP**

There is just a bit more : pictures with  a report on CPAC  to follow, so please check back.

Feb 3, 2011: PROTEST THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE @ 1PM- NYC Council Hearing is ON!
February 3, 2011, 1:05 am
Filed under: Islam and mosques, mayor bloomberg sells out, mosque at ground zero

We will be INSIDE at the  Hearing

49-51 CHAMBERS STREET  at 12:45 pm

From ATLAS SHRUGS: NYC Council: Who are you working for?

The majority of New Yorkers oppose the Ground Zero mosque, and yet you support that offensive insult. 87% of New Yorkers want Wal-Mart, want jobs and low prices, and yet you waste precious taxpayer monies holding hearings, postponing hearings, to ban Wal-Mart. City shoppers could slash their grocery bills by 33 percent if retail giant Wal-Mart were permitted to open stores in the Big Apple, a Post analysis has found.

Who are you working for?

Christine Quinn shilling for the pro-sharia mega mosque is ……….. sad. What happens to those who share Quinn’s lifestyle in a Muslim country?

These are the times when you can affect change.

These are the events that can make a difference.

Please join us , TOMORROW,  February 3rd, down town to protest the Ground Zero mosquestrosity.

The appointment of the latest imam, who is a fierce sharia advocate and has ties to WTC bomber co-conspirator Siraj Wahhaj, is another assault in the continuing 911 attacks on America. The Ground Zero stealth jihadists have applied for taxpayer funds to build their flag of conquest.

AND here is one more reason to support on Wal-Mart :

“We just felt it was the right thing to do,” Wal-Mart William C. Wertz, a spokesman for Wal-Mart on why they dropped plans for a proposed store near near a hallowed Civil War site.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has abandoned plans to build a store near a hallowed Civil War site. Sharif El-Gamal, are you listening? Wal-Mart has withdrawn plans to build a store near a hallowed Civil War site. That is what it means to be “American,” to be decent and compassionate.  el Gamal could start building bridges and withdraw the Ground Zero mega-mosque.

But, with the recent release of e-mails that revealed a close relationship between Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office and the Islamic supremacist mega mosque, Cordoba, ninety pages of e-mails going back to 2009, show that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan relied heavily on Bloomberg and City Hall for help, support, advice and assistance as they moved forward to build a 15-story mega-mosque on Ground Zero. It would seem ‘the fix is in’

No wonder  the NYC Council is pushing the building of the Ground Zero mosque . Christine Quinn and her quisling council spit on the New Yorkers they were elected to represent (87% of polled New Yorkers want Wal-Mart’s jobs and cheap prices, and the majority of New Yorkers oppose a mega mosque on Ground Zero). Quinn has been very vocal in her support of the mega-mosque and fierce in her opposition to Wal-Mart (nuts).

The NYC Council even declared December 14th “Hate Wal-Mart day.”

Has the NYC Council declared “hate Jihad day” or “Hate Islamic Ethnic Cleansing Day” or “Hate the Islamic Slaughter of Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs Day”?

Hate Wal-Mart Day — this is insanity!!

Ground Zero is the “nerve center” in the Islamic war on the West; the 15-story Mecca mosque on the Hudson should also be withdrawn, and the NYC government should be working to that end, not to ban Wal-Mart from our citizens.

Please join us in this protest. 70% of Americans and the majority of New Yorkers do NOT WANT  the mosque at Ground Zero.

Interesting Update on Wal-Mart’s plan on how to Fight City Hall, (Love it, actually) From NY Daily News:

Walmart execs are boycotting a City Council hearing on the chain’s plans to open its first store in New York City, the Daily News has learned.

Philip Serghini, Walmart senior manager for community affairs, said in a letter to Council members that the company will skip Wednesday’s hearing. He also criticized the Council for picking on Walmart – even though other big chains like Target, Kmart and Costco already have stores in the city.

“The joint hearing …does not appear to consider the impact of the hundreds of N.Y.C. stores operated by these companies; rather it focuses solely on Walmart,” Serghini wrote.

“Since we have not announced a store for New York City, I respectfully suggest the committee first conduct a thoughtful examination of the existing impact of large grocers and retailers on small businesses in New York City before embarking on a hypothetical exercise,” Serghini wrote.

“For these reasons and more, we respectfully decline participation.”
