Sharif El-Gamal, the “developer” from Soho Properties…was a WAITER in 2002! (love this candid shot from Atlas Shrugs!)

Sammy and Sharif El-Gamal of SOHO Properties have been throwing around $$$ Millions of dollars in cash, buying apartments for themselves and expensive Manhattan Commercial buildings, where does the cash come from ?

Sharif El-Gamal was waiting tables at Serafina’s Restaurant in New York City  and Sammy El-Gamal was waiting tables at Tao Restaurant on the Upper East Side of Manhattan NY, from there they both broke into the real estate business by renting apartments on commission, they were not selling any properties.

In July 2009 Sharif El-Gamal sets up SOHO PROPERTIES GENERAL PARTNER, LLC a Delaware corporation as a foreign entity in the New York State Division of Corporations and buys the old Burlington Coat Factory property at 45 Park Place for $4.8 million for cash (in July 2009), where did the cash come for the old Burlington Coat Factory property at 45 Park Place that is to be rehabed into a Mosque and where will the $100 Million come from to rehab the building into a Mosque ?”

H/T from The Right Scoop

“Apparently this guy (Sharif El-Gamal) saved the 4.8 million for this purchase from renting apartments on commission in NY [… ] must’ve earned one heck of a commission! (If you’re in a hurry, skip to 2:15.)

So, Mayor Bloomberg, when do the investigations begin? SHOW US THE MONEY!

I think I am losing my mind. Maybe this is complete madness and maybe I am way off base. What if this whole Mosque deal is funded by US Taxpayer? This would certainly explain why no one wants to discuss where the funds to build this orginate.

Mayor Bloomberg & the democrats & Imam are accusing America of being intolerant and denying freedom of religion to Muslims which is not true or factual. The Muslims have been practicing their religion on U.S. soil even prior to 911 and Obama confirmed there is a mosque in every state in America, so how is that denying freedom of religion to Muslims making their argument moot. Furthermore, the federal laws require that the Imam disclose the funds and funding and undergo a credit check, background check and criminal background check, when buying or selling property on U.S. soil and produce his tax records and employment records and prove citizenship. Therefore, how is it that public servants in high office and federal officers of the law are ignoring the federal, banking, and IRS rules and regulations they swore to uphold, when it comes to the $100,000,000 for a tax exempt mosque on U.S. soil near Ground Zero and shove it down America’s throat? All other Americans must follow the federal laws when buying & selling property and undergo the background & credit, tax records, and employment records or they don’t qualify and are turned down, even if they buy a car. So, why wouldn’t the Imam, a immigrant from the Middle East who refuses to denounce Hamas; accused America of being equally responsible for 911; and promotes Shariah Law, not be properly vetted when Americans must be under the magnifying glass? By the way, how did a waiter save up $5,000,000 in a short period of time to buy the building? I want to work there, too!

Even if the property is purchased by a for-profit REIT, which Soho Equities is, and then leased to the mosque for $1/year? That may be a loophole.

Now, I don’t know anything about these laws, but it’s just a guess.

As for the site itself, I don’t get why Rauf won’t offer at least a middle ground to build only within the confines of the facade of the existing structure—and maintain that facade as the facade for the new building. I’m sure that if it’s nondescript, people will be open.

Since the original plans published the Cordoba initiative, which they now insist isn’t the design…that they are looking for an architect) BUT, the original design published (in their mind) looked a LOT like the WTC. They have PLANS and that doesn’t include the original facade…

Which should be opposed until it does.

There are people who will see a mosque going on this site, even if the facade is retained, as a victory mosque. But would the majority of the 9/11 families be open to some compromise if the site is marked by a plaque either on the front of it or on the sidewalk?

Putting a mosque at this place is a slap in the face to all Americans. I can’t believe that it is allowed by those who are supposed to be the voice of the nation!

What a job. Being a waiter really pays, I suppose. Wonder who he has been waiting on?
