Update August 23: No Newt!
…… one of Gingrich’s staff had agreed to send a video message from him to be shown at the Sept. 11 rally.
That has since been canceled.
“The confusion is at least partially our fault,” said Joe DeSantis, a spokesman for Gingrich. “A staff member mistakenly promised a video message, though not an appearance. However, we are not sending a video. We informed them earlier this week.”
DeSantis did not comment on why Gingrich was no longer planning to send a video message to the rally, and attempts to contact the organizers of the rally were unsuccessful.
Perhaps political courage is not his strength.
A spokesman for Rep. Peter King (R-NY) , an “invited speaker,” said he was not planning to attend because he “will have so many 9/11 commemorations [to attend] in his district.

No Mosques At Ground Zero

Thomas, I agree with you. I thought it would be nice to have a Chapel where the Bibleis displayed and a synagogue. Now that is a Bridge Builder. Anyone else agree with me???

They have an agenda to take this country down. I would think that there is a potition to not build this mosque somewhere i would like to put my name on it. To me I think that this mosque is a way of the muslim religon claiming a victory. Murder in the name of muslamic belief now build a mosque to glorify it. When will enough be enough. What does the american people have to do? Sad to say but it looks like the people cant trust the people in charge and eventually have to put things in their own hands!

The idea of “poor taste” is an alien idea. (N0 pun intended) However on Fox News it was reported that a Catholic church was destroyed during 9-11 and the people have not received permission to rebuild that structure. If this can be verified, it proves how out of taste and out-of-order our government and country have become from what God has blessed and maintained until now. He does have a limit to His patince. Pray for His will to be done. That may mean the destruction of this all!

St Nicholas, a Greek Orthodox church that had been at Ground Zero from 86 or 87 years has been DENIED the right to re0build by the Port Authority. From obnoxious delay after another…no good-faith when it came to St. Nicholas…It is an OUTRAGE!

There are many verses in the koran that command muslims to kill all non muslims in the name of allah. Building a mosque at ground zero will be a huge victory in the eyes of terrorists including Bin Laden. The day this mosque is built will be a holiday for terrorists.
